Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6P-DH) specifically oxidizes G-6-P to 6-phosphogluconate with the concurrent reduction of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, reduced (NADH). |
